The Man From the Snowy River - First Stanza

There was movement at the station, for the word had passed around
That the colt from old Regret had got away,
And had joined the wild bush horses -- he was worth a thousand pound,
So all the cracks had gathered to the fray.
All the tried and noted riders from the stations near and far
Had mustered at the homestead overnight,
For the bushmen love hard riding where the wild bush horses are,
And the stock-horse snuffs the battle with delight.

Banjo Patterson

The poem is about a horse that was worth a thousand pounds. Thhis horse had run off with wild horses and some well known rides need to go and get him back.

The THRASS for this week is "i" as in tin. Write down six more and put them in a paragraph of writing.

tin
sink
bin
lip
rip
rib
wink

Once there was a tin. One day he was accidentally kicked into the river. He started to sink. He was nearly under the water when a hand came and grabbed him. The hand threw him over his shoulder and it hit a person walking by in the rib. This ripped his shirt. He stepped on the can and fell over and split open his lip. The man who had thrown the can winked at the man on the ground rudely and then walked off.
