Rocket Tea Bag

Materials:

1 Tea bag
Matches
Adult Supervision

What To Do:

1. Remove string and tag from tea bag.
2. Remove the staples and clean out the tea leaves.
3. Make the teabag material into a tube shape by putting your finger in it.
4. Stand the tube up vertically.
5. Ignite the rocket by lighting the top end of the tea bag tube.
6. Stand back!

My Prediction:

I think when the teabag is lit the fire will burn down and when it gets near the bottom it will rise up into the air.

I think that it will rise up because hot air rises and hot air will make it rise.

We had three tries at this and two of them succeeded. The first one fell over and burnt the newspaper and then the other two we stood up on Slinky’s book!

Under The Sea

Once there was a small joyous boy that loved swimming. One morning at 10:00am his family decided to go to the beach because they had just won the lottery. The boy was so exited. It was about a boring five hour's there but when it was over they loved the beautiful sandy beach.

The small child saw lots of fantastical and colourful signs saying: Fish Bait, Buy food here. Then on the hot sandy beach was a half buried bottle filled with some strange liquid. He ran up and started digging it out. Then he pulled it out and ran back to his tall family. They all took a bit of it and then decided to go for a swim.

Then he went under water and held his breath as long as he could and then came back up. Then a big sparkling boat coming towards him so he ducked under again but he couldn’t hold it enough so he let go and found out that the liquidly thing they drank must have let them breathe underwater. He swam all the way up and told his family that he could breathe underwater and asked if they would try breathing in the glistening blue crystal water.

They tried and then they could. They decided to swim all day. They saw a dolphin, a clownfish and a shark. Then when they came back up they found out that they could not breathe out of water for very long. So their mum told them that they would be staying in the glistening blue there for ever.

They were swimming for five hours when they found a big sparkling city. They swam in and saw mermaids. They decided to live there the boy heard a voice saying, "Wake up,Wake up." Then the boy woke up and found out that it all was a dream.

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

I think that it is about a tiger that is prowling through the forest at night about to pounce on a critter.

Coat of arms

For my medieval studies I did a Coat of Arms.

The activity I did was for the class to draw their own coat of arms. We divided the coat of arms into four corners and then in the first left hand corner in the top we drew a animal. In the corner next to that we drew a coloured pattern. In the corner below the animal we drew a flower and then coloured it. Then in the last corner we drew a illuminated script of the letter of your first name.

- And you did an excellent job with this! I am so pleased with all your hard work. Well done! From Ms S.
