Bluearth Descriptive Writing

Tail-Tag Rescue

In Tail-Tag Rescue you need to have about twenty people. You need something to use as a tail. You need to have them in two teams a sparkling red team and a shining blue team. You put the tales so they are hanging out of your pants. You need to have a couple of red cones and a couple of blue cones at each end. You need two yellow cones and a lot of green cones to mark out a rectangle. In the middle of each side of green cones you can put the yellow cones on top or instead of the middle cones. Then you can start playing.

If you are on the sparkling red coloured team you start at the end with the red cones and if you are blue you start at the blue end of cones. Someone says go and then you try and grab the other teams tales. If you get the blue teams tale you take it and hold it in your hand while them down to the red cones. The blue team that have been caught have to wait untill someone from there team to get to the red end.

When they get to the end they need to take the captured person from the end to where the yellow cone in the middle. They can run back in from there and start playing again. To win you need to get all the people in the jail or when it ends the team with the least people in jail!

Design and draw, with two paragraphs of writing, a machine that would help keep a kite up in the air.

This is my idea for a kite keeper up machine. You need to have a fan for it to work. You get your fan and a stand for it. you need to wait for a windy day but not too windy that it will stay up. You need to have a bit of heat to strech the metal big enough to cover where you are flying. You need to have a portable power socket for it to work or a very long extension cord.

The fan is for when the wind dies down you can turn it on and the wind from the fan blowing up will blow the kite up and when the wind picks up again you can turn it off and your kite will stay up as long as you like.

My Box Of Life

A SIMPLE BUT VERY IMPORTANT MEME:
List your treasures and tag other students, as many as you like. Let this reflection spread throughout the world. We need to count our contentments as Blessings!~~~What do you look back over and treasure enough to place inside your BOX OF LIFE?~~~Here are some things I treasure enough to place in my Box of Life.
I' d like to tag Maverick. I was tagged by Topcatrules.

In My Box of Life I would like to put in:

my cat Spooky who died

my dog

a photo of my family

a photo of my friends

my favourite pen

a photo of my birds that flew away.

What I found…

When I unwrapped Maggy’s birthday present I found... a golden ring from a mermaid, a trumpet from an orchestra, a trident from under the sea and the Mona Lisa from the Louvre.

In my teacher’s LeSportsac handbag I found... some jewellery from Italy, A lipstick from a very expensive shop, a picture of Giancarlo and Trixie, a rusted piggy-bank that only had 5c in it and some cat hair that had come from Pyewacket.

The Day I Went To Outer Space

Once upon a time there was an adult called Bart. He wanted to be astronaut. He was in a bar one night when some people from NASA came in and said that if he wanted to be a astronaut then he had to come with them now. He walked all the way to the NASA building and started his training to become an astronaut. He had finished all his training when they said that he was about to go into outer space. He walked to the rocket with his spacesuit on. He walked into the rocket and then sat down. “3, 2, 1… Blastoff!” they said. They blasted off. They had reached pretty far out of the orbit when the people at NASA said that they forgot to refill our air supplies.

We checked our air supplies on our back. It said 50% was left. I floated to the steering wheel and tried to move the ship back. It was stuck. I told the people at NASA that the steering wheel was stuck. They said that there was some oil in the back of the rocket. I floated back there and got the oil and a funnel. I held the funnel as hard as I could to the steering wheel and poured as much as the oil as I could to the steering wheel. I tried again to move the steering wheel. It took about 5 seconds and then it started to budge.

I turned it around and I landed the space ship safely back on earth.

Poetry Homework

Acquainted With The Night

I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain—and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.
I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.
I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,
But not to call me back or say good-by;
And further still at an unearthly height
One luminary clock against the sky
Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.

Design

I found a dimpled spider, fat and white,
On a white heal-all, holding up a moth
Like a white piece of rigid satin cloth—
Assorted characters of death and blight
Mixed ready to begin the morning right,
Like the ingredients of a witches' broth—
A snow-drop spider, a flower like a froth,
And dead wings carried like a paper kite.

What had that flower to do with being white,
The wayside blue and innocent heal-all?
What brought the kindred spider to that height,
Then steered the white moth thither in the night?
What but design of darkness to appall?—
If design govern in a thing so small.

Halloween bad hair day

One day it was Halloween eve. It was time for me to go to bed. When I awoke the next day my hair was all frizzled. It was the biggest bad hair day in the world. I ran to my mum and she said to just comb it over. I ran to the bath room and combed it over. I got dressed for school. When I got to school I told my friends about my bad hair day and they said that they had a bad hair day too. I was waiting for the bell to ring for school to finish so I could go home and have something to eat. The bell rang and I caught the bus back to my house and got a fruit bar and sat down on the couch. I decided that I was pretty tired from school and would have a sleep.

I fell asleep in about a whopping five minutes. When I woke up that night my hair was all frizzled again. I ran to my mum and she said that I should comb it again. So I did and then went back to sleep. The next day was a Friday and I wanted my friends to come and sleep over again. They all could come. When the bell rang they all came and caught the bus with me to my house. That night they said that they had another bad hair day. I went to sleep for about five minutes again when I heard a sound. I got up and looked out the window and saw a person standing there.

I yelled and ran to my bed and woke up my friends. I showed them where I saw the person and he was still there but this time he was moving towards the door. He opened the door and he walked towards me. When he got really close to me he put his hand to his face and pulled of a mask. It turned out that all my friends’ brothers were messing up the hair and that the person with the mask was my brother.

My Trip in a hotair balloon

In my hot air balloon I can see cars and people. The cars and people look like ants. I can see other balloons because it is a day when people can go up in a balloon for free. The other people in my hot air balloon are me, my mum and dad, my sisters and my brothers.

My hot air balloon is coloured black with colored stripes. You can hear lots of thing like birds chirping, my mum and dad talking and when the person driving pulls the flame and the heat goes up. It is really cool.

The person driving told me that you need to have a licence before you can drive a hot air balloon. The person driving also told me that the hot air balloon was invented in France 1783.

my new car

It was a freezing icy day and my mum was taking me to buy a new car. I got to the dealer. The cars were so cool. There was this black one that really stood out. Its gear stick was a shining blue colour. It had a for sale sign in the back. $20,000 the sign said. My mum said that the car was a bit expensive but she would buy it for me. So I took it for a test drive through the packed streets. It was really good so I bought it. I took it home and then drove to the shops. I bought all the food and drinks we needed and was taking them back to the car when a man took the car. I had accidentally left the keys in the car.

I chased him but I wasn’t fast enough. Some of the people in the cars in front of me saw him taking the car and helped me stop him. They tried to box him in but he stopped and drove out off the cars boxing him in and onto the streets. Some police cars nearby saw the car driving away and they chased him down. The guy who stole my car was arrested and was put in jail.

Duck Washing Machine

How it works: My duck washing machine is mostly for farmers. It has a hand that picks up the duck and puts it in the washing machine. For the washing machine to work you need to put soap suds in the machine. It has a conveyor belt that moves the duck along to the fans two metres away. The fans are run by a hamster running on a hamster wheel. When they are at the end of the fans the ducks hair is probally going to be all fluffed up so there is a hand with a comb that will brush all there fur down.

My new Bike!

I was at school one day when the bell rang. I ran outside and my mum was standing there waiting for me. We walked home and there in the big brown backyard was a new bike. I ran outside and got on. My mum said that I have to wear a helmet when I’m riding. I got on and put my helmet on. I decided to go to the shops. When I got there my mum rang me on my mobile and said to come home.

I was on my way home when a person came out of a bush and knocked me of my bike. They got on my new bike and rode off into the distance. I was feeling really sad so I walked home in depression. When I got home I told my mum that I lost my bike and then my mum said that it was ok.

My Camping Trip

My Camping Trip

Once upon a time there was a boy called Brodie. It was nearly his birthday. He went up to his dad and asked if he could go camping for his birthday. His dad said that he could. On the day of his birthday, he packed up some of his clothes, some soft toys and some toilet paper. His dad got all his clothes, the tent and two sleeping bags. He and his dad and ran to the car and drove out to the camping spot near the river.

When they got there they unpacked the tent and set it up. When the tent was set up they put their sleeping bags in the tent. They had brought their swimmers so they decided to go to the river and have a swim. They swam for a half-hour and then they got out. That night they made a camp fire and sang some songs and then went to bed.

When they woke up, they went for a walk. When they got back the whole tent had blown into the river! They dived in and tried to get the tent, but it floated away too fast. They got out and looked around. They saw footprints that looked like bear tracks. They went and followed the tracks. When the tracks ended all they saw was another family camping. They decided to go back to their camping spot. When they got there, they found some luscious, purple berries in a tree, and decided to pick the berries and try one. They were delicious. They picked all the berries in the tree and put them in their bag.

They were about to walk home when they noticed that they had no room for all the other sleeping bags and toilet paper. They decided to put most of the berries back and pack all the toilet paper and sleeping bags. Then they went home and sold the berries outside their house.

Maggie and Molly and Millie and May By e.e. cummings

maggie and millie and molly and may went down to the beach (to play one day)

and maggie discovered a shell that sang so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles, and

millie befriended a stranded star who's rays five languid fingers were;

and molly was chased by a horrible thing which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and

may came home with a smooth round stone as small as a world and as large as alone

.For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)it's always ourselves we find in the sea.

The Talking Computer

One day when I was playing World of Warcraft it shut down. I turned the computer back on and all of a sudden I heard a voice. The voice said, "Hello. What's your name?"
"My name is Billy," I told the voice.
"My name is computer," said the computer.
The voice was coming from the computer.
"Can I please leave and go to the wild so I can play with all my other computer friends?" the computer asked.
" No I will not let you leave!" I replied.
"Then I will have to terminate and blow up," said the computer.
"NO! How will I play world of warcraft then?" I asked the computer.
"Thats your problem," replied the computer.

Mary Poppins Nanny Song

If you want this choice position
Have a cheery disposition
Rosy cheeks, no warts
Play games, all sort

You must be kind, you must be witty
Very sweet and fairly pretty
Take us on outings, give us treats
Sing songs, bring sweets

Never be cross or cruel
Never give us castor oil or gruel
Love us as a son and daughter
And never smell of barley water

If you won't scold and dominate us
We will never give you cause to hate us
We won't hide your spectacles so you can't see
Put toads in your bed or pepper in your tea
Hurry, Nanny
Many thanks sincerely
Jane and Michael Banks

Movie World

Movie World
In my Theme Park there are over 150 employees. They get paid $100.00 every hour. These employees sell tickets for the rides and throw people out if they are being bad. The rest are at lost and found and at the door to Movie World. It is $5.00 for a child and $10.00 for a adult. $20 is the highest amount you will pay for a ticket and the lowest amount is $15.

There are games such as the one where you need to throw the ball and knock over a bottle. If you win that you will have a choice of getting a cap, a soft toy and more. At the cafe at my Theme Park you can buy a hamburger for about $2.50. A drink is about $1.45. There is a bar that does not sell liquor. Every day there is a movie shown.

There is an elders building for adults to rest. You have to prove that you are over 18 to be able to get inside.

In The Water!

In The Water!

One day I was riding home in a boat, from the beautiful corn fields that covered Japan . When all of a sudden the boat stopped. I went to check the engine. The whole engine was gone! I looked in the magnificent blue water for the engine, I saw a shadow move. It was a crocodile. I got a piece of wood from someone who was coming back with me. I went to the side of the boat and started rowing, us back to Japan . I felt a tug on the piece of wood. I pulled the piece of wood out of the water and saw that it was now a piece of rugged, spiked wood.

I got a shovel from below deck and then I put it in the water and started paddling again. We had just turned around when the crocodile jumped up and swallowed the piece of metal whole. It was huge! It was almost as big as this boat, but four times longer and this boat was a whopping ten metres. I grabbed some rope and dived into the water and chased the forty metre crocodile.

I looked for the crocodile, I couldn’t see it. I turned around and saw the crocodile charging at me. I got the rope and tied it around the crocodile’s neck. I swam up and tied the rope to the boat and the crocodile pulled us all the way back to Australia .
