The Camping Trip

For three days a boy called Sam went to a camp called Cooba. Sam went to Cooba with a school group. He was in a cabin with seven friends. On Sam’s first day he was going to an activity of Earth ball. We had a big ball shaped as the earth. It weighed about 25kg. Sam’s Group carried this easily. They had to pick the ball up and walk to the end of the tennis court and back then throw it over the net. The opposing team had to catch the ball. If they let the ball fall then Sam’s Team got a point. At the end Sam’s team lost.

Then Sam Walked back up to the camp to have some free time. Sam enjoyed this because he could go and lie on his bed and rest. After free time Sam went to have dinner. For dinner there was baked beans on toast and lasagne. After dinner Sam had a trivia night. The questions were quite hard. Then Sam went to sleep. The next day was when Farrer arrived. The activities this day were Dune Buggies, Archery and the big swing. First Sam had the dune buggies.

They were hard to drive. Next we had Archery. First there was a circle then we had to try and shoot arrows into. Next there was a target. Sam had to count our points as he went. The team at the end had 129 points. At the end Sam had a large red mark on his arm from where the string of the bow hit him. Next was the big swing. He had joined the front of the line. But Sam went on second. The swing went about 50ft. Sam had the most fun he had ever had at Cooba.
